Skilled Carpenter/General Labor

The person we are looking for must be able and willing to work with a team of 4-6 people or independently. Knowledge of all aspects of residential homes and remodeling. The ability to read blueprints, study them along with sketches to prepare the project layout and determine dimensions and materials required for the job. Must be knowledgeable in rough in and finishing carpentry. Ability to work in all aspects of new construction and remodeling, including but not limited to siding, windows, drywall, roofing, and all finish work. You may be assigned to other jobs if need be. You must be a team player and be willing to work on other jobs given to you by the employer.

Requirements for employment:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience required / 10 years preferred

• Strong work ethic, a professional appearance and demeanor

• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance

• Have own set of basic hand tools

• Excellent trouble shooting, analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong documentation skills

Follow established safety and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment

• You must display excellent customer service skills, including solid communication and interpersonal abilities, and can interact in a positive way with a wide variety of different types of clients, as well as fellow employees, management, and office personnel.

• Enough strength and physical dexterity to perform related duties and responsibilities of this job, including heavy lifting, climbing up and down ladders and scaffolding, and walking on building roofs.

• You must be willing to work in all elements of Wisconsin weather.

• Ability and willingness to work indoors and outdoors.

• You must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Competitive wages based on experience, 401k offered, vacation pay after 1-year, 2 weeks’ vacation after 4 years, paid holidays after 90-day review.

$20/hour starting with review and potential pay increase after 90 days
